Rain and Moonwater offers hand dyed boho clothing, textiles and accessories to local and Canadian women who wear clothing as colourful as their personality! All pieces are designed, sewn and hand dyed by the brand's founder Charlotte Hanington. Ice Dyeing is a slow fashion dye technique that uses ice and reactive dyes. Only natural fibers, such as cotton, silk, bamboo and hemp, are used by Rain and Moonwater. Not only because they dye the best but because they are less harmful to our environment than synthetic fibers. As the ice melts on top of the fabric, it pulls the dye with it through the fibers, creating Rain and Moonwaters’ signature watercolour cloud effect.
Rain and Moonwater is striving to be a sustainable brand part of the fashion revolution. We believe fashion should be one of a kind to match each and everyone's unique individuality while leaving our surroundings in a better place then how we found it. Plastic is rarely used in our production and all fabric scraps are saved for other projects while avoiding being put in a landfill.
