Each piece of jewelry is entirely hand-made in Quebec according to traditional artisanal jewelry practices. I personally design each model and ensure production with the help of a small team of talented local jewelers.
I am from the Outaouais region and my route was traced over several kilometers. Academically, after a college in visual arts, I completed a bachelor's and master's degree in architecture at the Université de Montreal. I also attended various training courses and workshops in jewelry from the Contemporary Jewelry School Alchimia in Florence, the El Taller Workshop in Barcelona and the BKMW School in Brooklyn.
Each year, I design a new collection from a different concept. For example, I can base a collection on a particular form, a theme, or on a transformation technique. Each collection is the result of a long reflection and numerous prototypes. My most popular collection, the SHAPE collection, is entirely made of sterling silver and copper. The jewels in this collection give the impression that the silver is dipped in copper while the two metals are actually soldered side by side. Thus, copper could never detach from silver unlike a plating. It is a production technique that requires a lot of attention to detail, but the results are impressive and much more durable than veneer!
