The $25 shop local challenge.

$1, 0 0 0, 0 0 0 // Its been incredible watching how local small businesses have pivoted + adjusted to being closed, contactless pickup, offering gift cards, gift boxes so that they can continue to serve you but help #stopthespread

Let's do some quick math to break down how small actions can create BIG impact.

There are 429k households in Ottawa (with multiple people per home).

If only 10% of those households (So 43k) spend $25 at a local small business this week (order online, food takeout, local baker or chocolatier for Easter, brewery, hire an artist)- it would keep over $1M in the hands of entrepreneurs in your community.ย

$25 is easy peasy to spend (I got my eye on one of those delish Farinella pizzas yo).

For One Million Dollars. $1,072,500 to be exact.

Chances are that for a lot of them, with the reduced revenue this income will go towards them cover expenses like rent, software, insurance, wifi/phone, supplies, staff. Are you up for the challenge? Tag your favourite local biz ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป that youโ€™re going to support this week.

By shopping local you're helping your favourites make it through this. Every little cha-ching these local entrepreneurs hear on their phones is beyond a sigh of relief. And that's all you. Your support and your passions for community.
